Today, it became obligatory to do some laboratory tests in the process of diagnosing internal diseases and specifying the most suitable treatment procedure after the obtained results. Bogazici Veterinary Hospital is one of the few veterinary hospitals, which has the opportunity to make the full blood analysis and urine analysis at the laboratories within its own body.

In our laboratories, blood biochemistry analysis, blood count and peripheral smear examinations, blood gases and electrolyte assays, clotting time assay, sedimentation assays, antibiogram, hormone assays, biochemical and microscopic urine analysis, feces examinations, serologic tests, bacteriological and mycotic (fungus) cultures routinely applied and be our guidelines to diagnose the problems of our patients and to detect the most appropriate treatment method.

Complete blood count is a very important test to diagnose particularly infectious diseases, anemia, clotting problems and blood diseases, and to follow-up the general condition of the patient.

Since the blood cell sizes of pets are different than human’s, applying these tests in human laboratories may lead to wrong results and fault interpretations. For that purpose, we have an automatic blood count device in our hospital that is exclusively produced for veterinary use.
