Blood pressure of cats and dogs are measured both directly and indirectly. The indirect ones are the bloodless and painless methods that do not pose any risk for animals. In our clinic, tension measurement is made by use of a common used device that is specific for veterinary use in prominent clinics in all of the world.

When the blood pressure should be measured?

  • In case of disease being with hypertension
  • Routine examinations / check-ups of elder patients.
  • For those who have diseases being with hypertension
  • For emergency patients (for shock, trauma, fluid accumulatin in the heart membrane, poisoning, addison disease crisis etc.)
  • During observation of the patients under intensive care
  • In cases of use of drugs affecting the regularization of blood pressure (ACE inhibitor beta blockers, calcium antagonists etc.)
  • For observation of the patients during anesthesia preparation and anesthesia
